When Americans arrive at the place where they are too overwhelmed to even express dismay at any one particular outrage being perpetrated by the Democrats, it is time to step back and examine the "bigger picture." In the wake of Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip to the Middle East, America clearly finds itself at just such a juncture.
Some have indeed chastised Pelosi, and their criticism was quickly deflected by her Democrat cohorts as mere expressions of "partisanship." Thus her defenders have united themselves with her seditious behavior.
Ultimately, this situation and its diplomatic consequences, abominable though they may be, should not be treated as an isolated example from a madcap leftist fringe. Rather, they should be considered in the context of liberalism’s long-standing assault on the American ideal.
Furthermore, the common ground shared with Islamists in their malevolence towards America, and the various resulting schemes of both groups to wage war against the "great Satan," are extremely revealing as to their ultimate motivation. Pelosi’s latest escapade, along with several other events of the past few days, give ample evidence of the deep-seated alliance that has emerged between the American left and the Islamists.

Accuracy in Media has released a new report examining charges that a former Carter Administration official is behind a sinister campaign to create a North American Union that will submerge American sovereignty in a trilateral entity consisting of the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The report is available at www.aim.org
The report was prepared by Cliff Kincaid, editor of Accuracy in Media, who attended a February 16 conference on the subject of developing a North American legal system. Kincaid concludes that the evidence clearly indicates "that a comprehensive process is underway to merge the economies, and perhaps the social and political systems, of the three countries."

There have been many times in his long public career when I have wondered whether Al Gore is just plain stupid or, as the British say, barking mad.
At some point, his neighbors and fellow Tennessee citizens must have concluded Gore was intellectually defective because, in his run for the presidency in 2000, he failed to get that State’s plurality. Maybe it had something to do with that long, long, long kiss he gave Tipper before accepting the nomination of his party? That was bizarre.

In the 1970s, as a public relations consultant, I helped introduce a new pesticide to the American market. More specifically, to the pest control industry as it was not available for use by the public. It was called “Ficam” and, after having undergone the costly Environmental Protection Agency registration process, it was quickly and widely used by pest control professionals, not just for its capacity to eliminate cockroaches and a variety of other pest insects, but because it was applied with nothing more toxic than water.
For two decades this pesticide thrived. I wrote case histories of where it was used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, and theme parks, as well as in homes and apartments. The pest control profession embraced it and there never was a single case of it causing any hazard to those who applied it or benefited from it.
I never found out why, but for some reason the EPA demanded that the manufacturer re-register the product and the decision was made that would be withdrawn instead. It was just too costly to prove what everyone already knew. It worked wonders protecting people against the diseases and property damage a wide variety of insect pest species cause on a daily basis.

For those who accept the "wisdom" from inside the Beltway, amnesty for the twelve million or more illegal aliens presently in our homeland is inevitable. In the U.S. Senate, both parties have seemed intent on a repeat of last year’s amnesty bill, while the White House, remaining stubbornly oblivious to the anger generated among its most loyal base, remains fixed on an agenda of placating the Mexican government and selling out the American people on this issue.
Yet despite incessant reporting of this supposed "done deal," some very encouraging signs from the heartland attest to the fact that the debate is far from over.
Out on the campaign trail, ordinary citizens who recognize their country’s future as a far loftier goal than the acquisition of cheap labor (among Republicans) or cheap votes (the real motivation of the Democrats), are forcefully conveying to the slate of presidential hopefuls that they consider amnesty for illegals to be nothing less than a betrayal of the country.

Whence came the deformed conceptions of anti-Constitutional, regulatory government and judicial activism?
American liberal-socialism is the gnostic descendant of the French Revolution and its Reign of Terror. The genealogical connection begins with Henri de Saint-Simon, the French intellectual who codified the doctrine of socialism in the first decades of the 1800s, shortly after the Revolution.
His colleagues and followers, including Auguste Comte, formed a body of disciples known as the Saint-Simonians. They spread the Gnostic gospel to German universities, where it became mixed with the philosophies of Fichte and Hegel.
