The Breeds Terrorism, Attacks on US Likely, Biblical Prophecies Pending, Armageddon at the Door

Liberal media liesFRESNO, California, July 27 /Christian Newswire/ — Bible expert, author, radio host and TV producer Steve Wohlberg refutes ‘politically correct’ opinions declaring that Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Al-Qaida terrorists “have nothing to do with Islam” but are “a perversion of Islam” (Associated Press, Sept. 20, 2001, remarks made by President Bush before a joint session of Congress shortly after Sept. 11). “This is not true,” says Wohlberg, “Muslim terrorists are actually following the Koran, which commands Allah’s loyal followers to ‘fight those of the unbelievers’ (Quran, Surah IX: 123, Shakir’s translation, New York) until Islam ‘prevails over all religions’ (Surah IX: 33).”

Thursday’s Al-Jazeera TV broadcast of the message of Ayman al-Zawahri, second in command to Osama bin Laden, supports Wohlberg’s contention. Rejecting all “cease-fires or agreements,” al-Zawahri declared, “It is a Jihad (holy war) for the sake of God and will last until (our) religion prevails …We will attack everywhere…” (AP, July 27, Al-Qaida calls for Holy War against Israel). Al-Zawahri appealed to Muslims worldwide to stand against what is “forbidden by God in his book (the Quran).”

CIA Director George Tennet testified before Congress February 24, 2004 that Hezbollah has an extensive network of operatives on American soil and an “ongoing capability to launch terrorist attacks within the US.” In light of the current conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, and al-Zawahri’s appeal for Muslims worldwide to wage war “everywhere,” these threats should be taken seriously.

Conflicting apocalyptic theories abound, yet Steve Wohlberg has become a recognized expert on what the Book of Revelation teaches about ‘the end of days.’ His book, End Time Delusions: The Rapture, the Antichrist, Israel, and the End of the World (Destiny Image, 2004) separates fact from fiction about the past, the present, and the future. Based on years of research into biblical prophecies combined with an intelligent eye on world events, Wohlberg believes “Armageddon” is pending, “the battle of the great day of God Almighty” (Revelation 16:14, 16).

Steve Wohlberg is Speaker/Director of White Horse Media, hosts the nationally syndicated radio program, World News and the Bible, and has been a guest on over 400 radio and TV shows, including USA Radio, American Family Radio, Cable Radio Network, Focus 4, FamilyNet and The Harvest Show. He also writes a monthly column for Wisconsin Christian News. His web site is http://www.whitehorsemedia.com/.

Can Society Understand the Bible Today?   Comments Comments

Many of the solutions to the problems of today can be found in the bible.

The Bibleby Christine Bettridge

Many people desire to know more about the Bible. When they try to read it they find it difficult to understand, and at times, a little dry in some portions, as they put it. But the Bible is really not difficult to understand, it just takes some time, and a couple of other factors. But more important, is that the joy that the truths of God's precious Word can give to a person who understands it - are almost beyond belief!

The Bible, and its truths, David said, are "more to be desired than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb" (Psalm 19:10). He loved the Word of God, and so do those who know how to understand it. But first, let me say that learning the Bible cannot be done overnight. Its truths are deep, and it must be slowly and carefully dug out with some work - like school - which is progressive in nature.

Here are five things that will help to open the door of the Bible to your understanding.

1. Through The Teacher

The Teacher is ready to make all things clear to you - one at a time. He is always near to a believer and ready to show you "great and mighty things, which thou knowest not" (Jeremiah 33:3).

The conditions under which He teaches you are simple - you must be one of His children. This simply means that Christ has become your Savior through your simply telling Him that you hate your sins, and are sorry to God for having committed them. Then by confessing to God that you believe that Christ is the Son of God you can be buried with him in baptism. Then, His Spirit comes to live within and He is ready to teach and to guide you. Acts 2:38; Romans 6-3-6.

When you, as a believer who is willing to be taught, and follow, ask Him to teach you just before you open it and read. David prayed: "Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law" (Psalm 119:18).

2. Continued Obedience

It may seem strange to you that this is mentioned next - rather than some academic principle. As strange as it may seem, obedience is the next thing that helps open the door to your understanding. It is not a means to an end after baptism. Jesus put it like this, in John 7:17: “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine…" Now the word "doctrine" is not something to be afraid of, it simply means the "teachings" of the Bible. Jesus was saying that those who are willing to obey Him, and seek first the Kingdom of God, are those whose heart the Spirit can instruct to understand the Bible.

3. Keeping Faith

An individual, who is not willing to believe, will not be able to understand the deeper truths of the Word of God. They will just be so much foolishness to that person. But a believer, on the other hand, through faith can have their eyes opened to see things that an unbelieving person will never see.

ACLJ: Supreme Court Extending Stay in Mt. Soledad Cross Case “Extremely Important” Legal Development   Comments Comments

An update on the battle to save Mount Soledad Cross.

Mount Soledad CrossThe American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) said the decision by Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy to extend a stay – keeping the Mt. Soledad cross in place in San Diego – is an extremely important legal development that ensures the issue will receive the legal attention it deserves.  On July 3rd Justice Kennedy issued a temporary stay and late on Friday issued an order extending the stay – leaving open the possibility that the high court ultimately could take the case.  The ACLJ represents 22 members of Congress in the case and filed an amicus brief with the high court supporting San Diego’s request for the Supreme Court to intervene.

“The decision to extend the stay and keep the Mt. Soledad cross in place is not only a critical victory but represents an extremely important legal development as this case unfolds,” said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ.  “In taking the unusual step to extend the stay, Justice Kennedy clearly understands that the legal appeals must move forward and that the action taken by Congress to designate the cross as a national war memorial cannot be ignored.  By extending the stay, there is now time to fully litigate this case and explore every option – both legally and legislatively – to keep this cross permanently in place.  This is a significant case that now has the attention of the Supreme Court.”
