Mark of the beast, the man and his number 666, is definitely on the top of the most scary, misunderstood number in history. Most of the world associates the number with the devil. Some of the so called end time preachers would like to scare you into thinking this is something to worry about however it does not have to.
I remember standing in a grocery line when I was younger and the woman’s change was $6.66. She refused it and walked out. Was this some force of darkness or just a coincidence? Most believe that if you receive this mark you will be unable to buy or sell. The mark will be placed on the forehead or on the right hand and has been associated with the end of times or end of the world. Is a mark always a bad thing?
Many people have claimed when you play the old albums (33rpms) of Led Zeppelin and other rock groups you can here subliminal messages concerning this man and his number. Others are worried that the bar codes on products that we buy have to do with the mark of the beast as well as the medical implant chips that have been in use for years. They have now come up
with the idea to put the implants in our children to help keep track of them. Are we as Americans trying to scare ourselves into an early grave or is this the fault of scandalous preachers? This mark of the beast is something that our culture has wondered about for years. Who was this mark of the beast intended for?
What did the mark of the beast mean to first century Christians? Since it was them the book of Revelation was specifically written to then we should ask them what it means. If we could take a trip in time and tell them that these micro chips and bar codes refer to the beast I think they would be quite perplexed since they didn't exist in the first century. So then if it doesn't have anything to do with us then what does it mean? You can conclude from all of this that whatever it meant to them, (first century Christians), it still means the same thing today. Let's take a look at marks and how they were used then.
When Cain killed his brother he was worried that others would try to kill him so God placed a mark on Cain so that people would know to leave him alone. We do not know for sure who the “others” were at this point so this cannot be answered. Genesis 4:15. Even though this question cannot be answered it still shows that God placed this mark on him.

Researchers at The Heritage Foundation have upgraded a vital offering—“Federal Revenue and Spending: A Book of Charts”—making it easier than ever to track the deteriorating condition of the federal budget.
The chart book, which debuted in 2003, features updated data and new charts that address projected federal spending. Researchers at Heritage, a Washington-based think tank, also have reconfigured several charts and graphs for even greater clarity. To view the new version online, go to www.heritage.org and enter “budget chart book” in the search function.
The chart book’s easy-to-grasp comparisons of current, historical and future spending and revenues make it a data-rich resource for those interested in the understanding the budget process, from members of Congress and their staffs to reporters and public-policy students.
The charts have been prepared by researchers in Heritage’s Center for Data Analysis, which houses one of the largest privately held collections of public policy-related databases in the nation, and Heritage’s Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies. The entire book may be downloaded in pdf or PowerPoint format, and each chart can be downloaded individually.
The section on federal revenue explains where the federal government has gotten its money since 1960, how those major sources of revenue have changed over the years and the growth in spending as measured per-taxpayer and per-household.
More ominously, the section on projected spending shows how spending has grown over the last 40 years and the bleak budgetary future that awaits if Congress fails to reform entitlements and rein in federal spending. Other charts illustrate how mandatory spending, if left unchecked, will squeeze out nearly all discretionary spending in the next 50 years.
“Those who need to know where the federal governments gets its money and how fast it spends it will find this site useful and the additions a nice improvement,” says Alison Acosta Fraser, director of the Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies at Heritage. “It presents key data in a clear, easy-to-understand format that lets people see the urgent need for budget and spending reform.”

The morning and evening news shows on ABC, CBS, and NBC haven’t been just reporting consumer discontent about higher gas prices but also actively stoking public outrage. A new study by the Media Research Center, released today, shows that the three networks combined broadcast 183 stories about rising gas prices from April 12 through May 2 yet most of these stories were geared to fueling public fears with hyperbole, no evidence and hysterical claims. Among the findings:
-
The networks’ used loaded language in their promotional teases, e.g., “pain at the pump”; “skyrocketing” prices; “soaring” prices; and “sky high” prices.
-
Ignoring supply and demand, many of the networks’ stories blamed “Big Oil” for higher prices and discussed “gouging” by gas companies without evidence.
-
ABC showcased a woman who claimed she pawned her wedding gifts for gas money.
-
CBS, relying on an outdated AARP poll, reported that the elderly were skipping food and medicine to pay for gas.
Research conducted by the MRC’s Free Market Project only amplifies the networks’ anti-Big Oil mindset. For instance, the Free Market Project has previously found:
-
NBC and CBS repeatedly reported that gas prices are at a “record high,” but gas prices have not topped inflation-adjusted highs. Gas prices are actually lower than in 1981.
-
During the Hurricane Katrina gas scare, the networks repeatedly broadcast gas prices on screen that were 75 cents per gallon higher than average.
-
After the Hurricane Rita peak, gas prices fell 45 cents but CBS, NBC, and ABC continued to report on high gas prices four times as often as falling prices.

Last winter in France, the Muslim youth erupted in riots that lasted over 2 weeks before control was reestablished. Nathan Muller is co-founder of For the Cause, believes that similar riots could happen here in the U.S. I concur 100%, it is only a matter of time.
After two weeks of rioting throughout France among that nation's immigrant population, Americans are asking, "Could it happen here?"
American's are right to ask the question because the circumstances in the two countries are strikingly similar…
- Both countries have allowed immigration policies to deteriorate to the point that virtually anyone who wants to enter can do so with little difficulty.
- Both countries have large immigrant populations that will not assimilate into the host culture or accept its values.
- Most of the immigrants pouring into both countries cannot find jobs, which means they sap social welfare benefits beyond sustainable levels.
Politicians' favorite ploy
What the governments of France and the U.S. need to understand is that uncontrolled immigration naturally produces social inequalities that are difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. These social inequalities are not the result of the prejudices or fears of citizens, but of the misguided policies of government. Attributing social inequalities to "prejudice" or "fear" is a disingenuous ploy politicians use to mask their own policy failures.
With violence waning, President Jacques Chirac has called on France to confront the social inequalities and prejudices that fueled the violence. This is doomed to failure because it is based on a false premise. It's not the French people who are the problem, it's the French government.
The cause of the unrest in France is due mainly to the high rate of unemployment among a vast and growing immigrant population, which hovers around 40%. With an overall unemployment rate of 11%, it will be difficult for France to open the doors to employment, especially with all the bureaucracy and costs associated with job creation. Here the French government is clearly at fault.
